The Story:
I have always dreamed of living in my own little cottage. A sweet little place tucked away on acres of land nestled deep in fields and fields of wildflowers.
I wanted to bring a piece of that dream to life. It started in my sketchbook, doodling away, bringing whimsey to a white page. Keeping it loose for the imagination to still be able to daydream of the little details while adding in enough detail to draw the eye into the painting. There is something warm and mystical about this one that draws you into the parts of you that want to run wild through a field of flowers. A smipler way of living, surrounded by beauty and peace.

The Story:
Tulips are hands down my favorite flower. I love their shape and color variations. There is something so delicate about the look of them, yet when handling them they seem to be a much sturdier flower than many others. I find something relatable in that.
I also love that tulips are a spring flower. When I lived in South Carolina I realized how much I loved spring. How refreshing the air feels, still crips yet warming up as the earth prepares the grounds for abundance. Hearing birds sing, colorful skies, and so many flowers beginning to bloom is such a magical thing we get to experience as humans. Sometimes it's the little things that can really make a person feel lucky.
Sometimes I seem to place an extra emphasis on an object, I think for me tulips have become a representation of all I see and feel in the spring season. There is something beautiful and magical about a Field of Tulips, and that’s exactly what I wanted to paint.

The Story:
Evening walks have become one of my favorite past times. Either before or after dinner getting some fresh air and going for a walk with the boys calms my soul and resets me for the evening. During summers this became a core habit we established, especially because it was when the heat would finally start clearing for the day.
During these late evening walks we would often be forced to stop and admire the beautiful sunsets. We would see the sky dance with colors I wouldn't normally think to see above us. The birds would swarm and sing through the air, enjoying the cooling of the day right alongside us. These were moments that lived in my heart and gave me something to look forward to at the end of the day.
One day I decided to capture a video of this. The birds, the sky, the whole moment. Before I knew it I was painting it.

The Story:
Life offers many trials that we don't always understand while we are facing them. The Lamb is a reminder that we don't face them alone and that all of our shame and sin that comes from or within the trials that we face have already been forgiven.
Growing as a Christian I have had to face myself many times. Questioning what I believe and why I believe what I do. Wondering if God is really with me or if it is more of a mental game and mindset. As I found the answers to these questions through a very hard time in life I had a desire to paint my faith, and while I would often see pictures run through my mind when I would arrive at a canvas I wouldn't know where to begin.
The sweet symbolism of the Lamb landed me in a soft space to begin exploring my faith in color. A small, yet mighty, proclamation of what I believe and who I love.

The Story:
The summer of 2024 I beacme more enamored with birds. Their singing, the whimsy of them, how delicate and detailed they are. It wasn't long before I found myself looking through books and articles to learn about different species of birds.
I love all of the colors layered within the House Finch. Each one complimenting the other, making the bird itself a stunning piece of art. This is what really drew me to the House Finch and what started my mini bird series. I knew I wanted the colors within the bird, and the House Finch itself, to pop. I love the contrast of the dancing blues in the background with the House Finch perched on a branch.

How I create art that reflects faith and motherhood starts with slowing down and giving myself the chance to be inspired by the beauty of living.
Creating a calm space as a mother is something we want but also something the home needs. Today I am sharing one of my favorite ways to incorporate some calm in the chaos of everyday life and parenting.
Creating a faith-filled home at the start of the new year might be the best new years plan I’ve ever had. Taking a moment to slow down, reflect on what matters most, and let God lead me through the year is what is at the heart of my 2026.
This year I took a different approach to setting goals. Not revolving around overly planning, hustling, or being overly soft. Simplifying what consistency means and narrowing the path to get there.

The Story:
Walking around the pond in my parents neighborhood has become one of my favorite ways to start the day or reset for the evening. It's a calming place where you can see smiling faces and reconnect with nature in the suburbs.
Filled with sounds of conversation, laughter of kids playing at the nearby park, birds singing and ducks quacking, as the summer temps began to rise I couldn't help but to realize that I was so enamored with birds. Their sounds, their ability to soar and crash gracefully into the water. I had already worked on painting some birds and had taken the ducks into full inspiration with my 'Bottoms Up' painting, I thought, what could be next?
The strong summer heat and the sun shinning off the water made me think-Flamingo.
Funky Flamingo is another mixed-media piece of work made with gouache, watercolor, and ink.
